Two of our favorite brands (behind strictlykings of course!) are streetwear label Carhartt, and Krink, makers of the dopest markers around, so imagine my joy to discover the now customary cross brand hook-up for a run of limited edition tshirts, prints and markers between the two names. Three different items feature KRINK’s own iconic touches which include a t-shirt, print and three exclusive markers. Each piece is in limited quantities including only 220 runs of the print, 120 pieces of the t-shirt and 250 sets of the markers. Among select retailers across the world, the carhartt Tokyo store will see the release of these items.
Japanese brand MACKDADDY and UBIQ hook-up on UBIQ’s flagship model the EL. The slip-on double ring-inspired sneaker comes in two colorways which are exclusive to the ZOZOTOWN retailers of FLAUGE and EPROZE. Set for a release next year, the shoes include a brown/stripe version for FLAUGE and a gray/stripe version for EPROZE. I dont know why but i feel wrong for really liking these.. and IF i had the spare cash would definately splash out on a pair.. or maybe both.. both pairs seriously ill in my opinion.
Available for pre-order now through ZOZOTOWN.
For the second collaboration between Stockholm based Sneakersnstuff and Puma, the two hit the history books, researching what makes the Puma Suede. The SNS x Puma Suede comes in three classic colorways that use soft goatskin suede on the uppers, hence the name. The pun is intended for this GOAT pack, as not only do the shoes use goatskin suede, but are the “greatest of all time.” The SNS logo is placed at the tongue tag, along with the iconic SNS x Puma logo allover insole. These Suedes will release exclusively at SNS December 5th in a limited run of 124 pairs of each colorway. Always been a fan of the puma suede, from way back.. and still rocking them to this day. check out the pics below.
Since the 2002 release of ‘Pubs, Drunks and Hip Hop’ Diversion Tactics have
been making their mark on worldwide hip hop collaborating, producing and
deejaying with heroes and young guns throughout the music scene. Witnessing
the rise and inevitable fall of the ‘next big things’ , has cemented their
approach to making music and celebrating hip hop culture through hard beats,
skillful rhymes and razor sharp cuts.
Building a reputation for quality the distinctive sound of Boot Records
mixes tough drums with honest spoken word. Diversion Tactics are not afraid
to upset the cart, stamp all over the fruit and ask…”how d’ya like them
apples”?
‘Careful On The Way Up’ reflects the maturity, yet still cynical and
rebellious energy, of the crew. Chubby handles rhyme duty, and still has
booze soaked stories to tell albeit now laced with a dash of melancholy.
Jazz T and Zygote cause the neck to snap even harder, kick the drums along
more aggressively and slap your face with the snares.
To reflect the breadth of influence the mighty Blade is dragged fighting and
kicking back out of retirement and on to ‘Three Card Brag’ also starring D.
Gritty, Squeaky goes toe to toe with Tim Dog and Percee P on the remix of
‘NY To The UK’, New York DT representative J-Zone returns to produce an
immediate classic ‘Back To School’, Beyond There’s Tommy Koi and The Last
Skeptik bring more UK flavour to the beats and absolute legends of hip hop
Pogo and Biznizz pull out the wax and cut it to shreds on ‘The
Turntablists’.
We’ve all been waiting a long, long time for this one.

While readying myself for work this morning i had the misfortune to swicth on MTV base.. now it may have been that i got out of the bed on the wrong side this morning, but what i saw just vexed me more than usual.. “the ‘braap’ pack top 10 old school classics” was beginning what will sure to be its constant rotaion.. the ‘braap’ pack were three grime/garage rappers who for obvious reasons had been asked to name their ten favorite hip hop videos.. naturally when selecting hip hop videos you ask someone with no history or knowledge of hip hop to do such a thing for you.. not only that, but you get three artists from a completely different music genre to do so!.. this is MTV, and most other so called musical media outlets in this day and age.. long gone are the days where MTV would champion an underground star ahead of the mainstream commercial junk that was currently major airplay on the nations TV and radio shows.. not anymore.. so for those three suckers that soured my breakfast, and all the suckers at MTV who continue to try to convince children that something is what it clearly isnt… here are some real hip hop classics..
Attached are some images taken at the Sony Ericsson B-Boy Championships last week, where 20 year-old Roxy Milliner (aka B-Girl Roxy) set a new Guinness World Record with an astonishing 71 head spins in 1 minute by a female bgirl.
The event, hosted by legendary bboy veteran Crazy Legs, was won by US crew, Skill Methodz, after 8 rounds of gruelling, high-energy bboy battles. UK representation came in the shape of the soul mavericks..
peep the pics below of bgirl roxy and eventual winners skillz methodz..
and check out the strictlykings facebook page for video footage of the bboy championships..
