seen these on a few websites of late and never really gave them much mind.. which is strange seeing as i love dunk hi’s.. my favorite ever sneaker if truth be told.. but on closer inspection im really feeling these.. havent been a fan of the sole change on so many sneakers.. usually ends up looking pretty wack.. but these just add to an already classic shoe.. never as a replacement for teh original dunk, but as an alternative i think theyre pretty fresh.. the kind of thing you can wear with jeans to please your girl when she wants you to dress smart!.. see the official nike blurb below..

Solebox – New Balance 1500 ‘Finals’ pack

With a release date slated for August 22nd, 2009, we get a closer look into the latest collaboration between premier Berlin boutique Solebox and New Balance. The outcome feature a new interpretation of the popular 1500 sneaker model, dressed up in a forest green/grey/black colorway. Never really been a huge fan onf NB sneakers, but have always had a bit of a soft spot for the solebox collabo’s. The kicks are part of the Finals pack, which boasts another similar version in a maroon color scheme. Only 350 pairs were made worldwide. Stay tuned for further looks as the release date nears.

Freestyle sessions 12 – Aug 22nd-23rd

IZ THE WIZ – Rest in peace.

The graffiti world recently lost one of its greatest pioneers with the unfortunate passing of Mike Martin, also known as Iz The Wiz. From his beginnings at the start of the 1970s, Iz The Wiz would make his way to the top of New York’s graffiti subway ladder and effectively cement himself as a legend. Through his efforts, he also made graffiti a more acceptable artform helping create public painting spaces among other contributions and for this, a legion of writers around the world will miss his presence. The pioneering shoe in the whole and massively popular Air Max franchise, the Air Max 1/’87 is enjoying a renaissance in 2009 as we see it at the center of various new releases. From the updated hybrid known as the Air Maxim 1 to this new throwback to the original, this year looks to be a good one for those who enjoy, simple, well-designed sneakers. Homeroom 2009 5-panel caps

San Francisco-based HomeRoom return to their bread and butter with a new collection of the brand’s signature 5-panel caps.
