IZ THE WIZ – Rest in peace.

The graffiti world recently lost one of its greatest pioneers with the unfortunate passing of Mike Martin, also known as Iz The Wiz. From his beginnings at the start of the 1970s, Iz The Wiz would make his way to the top of New York’s graffiti subway ladder and effectively cement himself as a legend. Through his efforts, he also made graffiti a more acceptable artform helping create public painting spaces among other contributions and for this, a legion of writers around the world will miss his presence. Alan Ket gives a detailed insight into his relationship with Iz The Wiz over at his 12ozProphet blog.

NIKE Air max 87 – Quickstrike

The pioneering shoe in the whole and massively popular Air Max franchise, the Air Max 1/’87 is enjoying a renaissance in 2009 as we see it at the center of various new releases. From the updated hybrid known as the Air Maxim 1 to this new throwback to the original, this year looks to be a good one for those who enjoy, simple, well-designed sneakers. The Air Max 1 Retros seen here feature the OG red and blue versions and are available now at select retailers as a Quickstrike drop.

Homeroom 2009 5-panel caps

San Francisco-based HomeRoom return to their bread and butter with a new collection of the brand’s signature 5-panel caps. The new lineup boasts a variety of Summer colorways featuring top notch fabrication within a complex blend of lightweight wools, originating from the English Countryside and constructed in America.

Nike AM87 Light Black and Gold

these two colours go together so well.. the black and gold (see the black and gold fly fresh dope tee for an example!).. so nike in their infinite wisdom, and after god knows how long of ordinary colourway releases, have decided on what looks like a classic in the making.. heres the spiel from nike..

“The latest Air Max Light from Nike Sportswear. The shoe features white midsole and textured mudguard with a black soft leather upper and mesh toe box. The swoosh and tongue tag are in metallic gold. Simple but a great color combination that you won’t feel bored with.”..

We never get bored with the AM87.. put simply.. these shoes are dope!..

Check out the brand new website, with an online store and much, much more.
